What is it all about?
The Mateship Run is an opportunity to come together and recognise the extraordinary contribution our ANZACs make – past and current – through participating in a healthy fun run or walk, while also helping Soldier On raise funds for essential support services to the many men and women in Queensland who have been affected by their service, physically and mentally. Participants of all ages, sizes and fitness levels are encouraged to enter in the walk or run with friends, family and work colleagues as we celebrate the camaraderie and mateship of our heroes.
What are the benefits of taking part?
Participants receive a number of freebies and goodies for taking part, both from Event Organisers and Sponsors alike. This includes:
Participants and fundraisers can select from a number of different distances, walks and runs to suit their preferences and fitness levels. To find out more on each event, including the course, please click the link on each event category.
|EVENT CATEGORY||ON THE DAY ENTRY|
Community Walk – 1.5km
Check out the Festival timetable below and don’t miss out on any of the Mateship action.
The earlier you enter, the better the discount! Enter a team of 10+ and receive a further discount again!
In addition, we’re offering up to 50% discount for children under the age of 12 (4-11 years old) and FREE for infants (0-3). A great opportunity to get the whole family involved and raise some much needed funds for a worthwhile cause!
All participants are encouraged to pledge a minimum of $30 above and beyond their event registration as fundraising. The easiest way to do this is via the Soldier On fundraising page or use of sponsorship forms and materials available online here. A page will only take a couple of minutes to complete but your efforts and fundraising will help provide a lifeline through essential support services to the many men and women who have been affected physically and mentally by their service.
Once your fundraising page is completed, let your friends know that you are taking on the Mateship Run for Soldier On on ANZAC weekend by sharing your page link on social media, through your email signature or collecting door to door. A small $30 will help provide a huge benefit to the centre and community.
